FREDDIE FREEMAN’S DEEP CONNECTIONS WITH ATLANTA BRAVES
Atlanta Braves outfielder Freddie Freeman got emotional after being traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers. On March 18, 2022, Freeman agreed to the terms and conditions of the Dodgers and signed a 6-year contract with them.
Freeman said goodbye to his former teammates and coaches, many of whom he had been close with for years, for example, Brian Snitker.
While entering Trust Park on Friday, Freeman saw Jerseys and could not control his feelings for the Atlanta Braves. As a result, he covered his face with a towel, and his face turned red with eyes filled with tears. However, this was not the first time he got emotional.
The first time was when he went to a cafĂ© with his five-year-old son, where his fans saw him and started clapping for him. At that time, Freeman lost control and covered his nose with the towel to avoid crying. According to Freeman, “There were about nine people in there, and they all stood up and started clappin.”

The previous Atlanta Braves and current Los Angeles Dodgers player, Freddie Freeman, could not control his emotions throughout the day. He has covered in tears backstage at a news conference before the game. He could hardly enjoy the ceremony arranged in his honor as he was fully covered in tears. His last team Snitker, with whom Freddie Freeman had a close relationship, hugged him during the three-minute tribute video played for him on the big screen.
Moreover, Snitker tried to relax him by patting his back which seemed useless at that point. Later on, in a statement given by Freeman, he said, “Snitker being Snitker, it’s the one man that I’m very thankful for. We’ve had a lot of talks over the last few months.”
In the past 4 four months, there was news circulating about the Brave’s decision to acquire a new first batsman, i.e., Matt Olson. Freeman was completely devastated when he found out that he would no longer be able to play for the Braves, with whom he spent 15 years of his professional career and won the World Series in the final moments of his being part of the Braves.
He received great appreciation from the crowd, and everyone welcomed him when he came to batting. Moreover, the organist held him in the Tourist Park with “We are the Champions.” In response to that, the Braves starting pitcher said, “He deserved every second of it.”

FREEMAN AND THR BRAVES HISTORY
With a history of more than a century, the Braves could only get five players to score more home runs than Freeman, along with extra-base hits and RBIs than Freddie Freeman.
In his career from 2011-2019, Freeman slashed .294-.380-.505, accumulated 256 home runs and averaged 147 matches. However, his booming performance was revealed in the last two years when he led the Braves to the championship that initially seemed impossible.
At the end of 2021, Freeman entered the list of Chipper Jones, Hank Aaron, and Johnny Evers-Braves retired players by winning Championship and MVP.
According to Freddie Freeman’s closer friend-Dansby Swanson, “He cemented a legacy here, man, and it’s so rare when that kind of thing happens,” adding to that, he said, “Sometimes you don’t appreciate players and what they’re able to accomplish until they’re no longer there.”
