Eddie Feigner was born in Walla Walla, Washington, on March 25, 1925. He and his team started traveling to America, Canada, and other countries to play softball matches with local groups. It is estimated that Eddie Feigner and his team traveled around 100 countries and played 10,000 softball matches. They were famously known as “THE KING AND HIS COURT.”

It all started in 1946 when Eddie Feigner defeated a team from Oregon with his unique play style with a score of 33-0. The manager of the opponent teams passed negative comments about his play style, and in response to that, Eddie said that he could beat any team.
The Oregon team’s manager challenged Eddie Feigner and asked him to prove his statement. Eddie accepted his challenge and gathered a team of four members who had known him since childhood. Moreover, that manager’s team was comprised of players who were convicts. But that didn’t stop Eddie from accepting the challenge and wanting to play against them.
When the time came to play the game, Eddie and his team were fully prepared and confident about winning the match. The first game took place behind the spikey wire and taller walls of a prison. After playing an excellent match Eddie and his team of four members won the game against a prison team comprising 9 players, with a score of 7-0.
The news of four members beating a nine-member team spread across the country like a jungle fire, and they started receiving challenges from another local team. In the coming four years, they played over 200 matches but could not go across the border at that time.

INTERNATIONAL TOUR
After four years of fame in America, in 1950, Eddie Feigner and his team members were not getting any matches to play. They tried their best to get games, but nobody wanted to sponsor them. Eddie and his team finally decided to go on a cross-country tour as they had already tried every place to get sponsorship, and nobody responded; some of them replied, but all in vain.
While staying at a station, they discovered about Amateur Softball Association, which had banned teams from playing with “The King and His Court.” However, Eddie Feigner still managed to convince them with his skills and abilities and got matches to play.
PROFESSIONAL LEAGUE
After gaining more popularity in ASA, Eddie was invited to play a famous softball game held for charity. Interestingly, many renowned softball players such as Maury Wills, Willie McCovey, Harmon Killebrew, Brooks Robinson, and Roberto Clemente. Luckily Eddie successfully struck them out, which amazed everyone how talented he was.
At the age of 56, Eddie and his team defeated a nine-member team in the presence of a 15,500 crowd at the Silver dome in Pontiac. Most of these players were well-known professional softball players.
